Ricardo "Pangga" B. Quieta Jr. was born in Caloocan City, Philippines on May 28, 1948 where he worked at the US Embassy. He then moved to the United States in 1998 and lived in Jersey City, NJ until his passing on Thursday, July 1, 2021 due to kidney failure.
Rico loved to pray and he served as one of the officers for the Hudson County Virgin of the Barangay. He was also the life of the party - he loved to sing "Constantly" by Cliff Richard on the karaoke and always had a great time with family and friends. Rico was known as the "handyman" and was very hardworking. He had a contagious laugh and you could feel his warmth in any room that he entered. Rico was very compassionate, loving, funny, and had one of the biggest hearts.
Rico is survived by his spouse, Rebecca; his daughter and her husband, Rhea and Orlando; his son, Jorel; his grandchildren, Sophia and Nathaniel; and his sisters, Silvia and Racquel.
Visitation is on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, 5:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 Joh F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ, 07306 (For GPS is best to use parking lot address: 14 Stagg St.) Funeral Mass Will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at St. Aedan's Church 800 Bergen Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306. Cremation will be private.
