Richard James Caton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard James Caton, a devoted husband, father, and friend, who left us on September 15, 2024. Known for his loving nature and warm spirit, he cherished every moment spent with his family and friends.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Luz M. Caton (Fresse); his daughter, Debbie Caton; stepsons Ivan Aviles and Luis Aviles; and stepdaughter Mildred Aviles. He was predeceased by his mother, Helen Burns; father, John Caton; sister, Dorothy Campbell; brother, John Caton Jr.; and daughter, Joann Caton.

Though he is no longer with us, Richard's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His kindness and passion for life will be deeply missed. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Riotto  Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ, 07306 (For GPS use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg St.). Cremation will be private.
