It is our deepest sorrow to announce that our beloved Richard Foo, departed his earthly bounds on November 26th, 2024. He was an amazing family man, who worked hard to make sure the people around him were fed and happy. Born in Wales, Guyana, He love to hang out with his cousin Patrick to sail boats. He enjoyed swimming and going to Wales cinema. He was a bartender in Vreed-En-Hoop, Guyana. In November 1979, he immigrated to Canada. Then he immigrated to USA to pursue entrepreneurship with his wife and life partner, Patricia Foo. They welcomed 4 children into the world; Ritchie, Rickford, Tiffany (Tiff Foo), and Stephanie.
Adoring grandfather of Seth, Jasmine, Audrianna-Lynn and Brynlee. Surviving him is his dear mom Beatrice Foo in Canada. His loving brothers and sisters Walter,(preceded wife Johan Foo) Preceded brother Carl (wife Lisa) Foo. Dennis (Leonie) Foo, Ivor (Salima) Foo, Phllyis (Neville) Manbahal, Myrna (Richard) Cho-Li and Marliyn (Donald) Reda. He was preceded by his father, Gerald Foo, his aunt Winifred Hing and best friend Bennie Kaulassar. Survived by nieces, nephews and loving cousins.
Richard had a joyful life surround by love. He so truly gave through out his life, always joking and happy. He love to play Pool, Cards and Dominoes (won a few championship) with his best friend Bennie. He loved cooking , shopping, and driving. He was always up to watch cricket matches. He opened the first Guyanese bar on West Side Avenue. He made a lot of life long friends who he love to chit-chat with and play games.
He will forever be missed by all he encountered and the lives he touched with his friendship, love ,charm , character and warmth.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Riotto Funeral Home (For GPS, Please use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306). Funeral services are Tuesday, December 3, 2024, 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, 900 Holmdel Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733.
