Robert E Bennetti

Robert Bennetti, 86, a lifelong resident of Jersey City, NJ; entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 23, 2023.  He worked in Western Union for 30 years in New York City, and then became a supervisor of Samsung for ten year in Ledgewood, NJ.  Robert was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Church, Jersey City for over 50 years.   He enjoyed playing video games, especially playing golf, reading James Pateron's novels, and eating his wife, Barbara's wonderful Italian cooking.  He enjoyed going on vacation with his family to the Poconos and Disney world, and was a NY Giant fan.  As the patriarch of his family, he always made his family smile and was very proud of them.

Robert is the beloved husband of Barbara Bennetti of 70 years; a very proud father of Debra Addas-Lillo and her husband, Tony, Kathleen Miick and her husband, Arthur, Bob and his wife, Michele Bennetti, and John and his wife, Maryann Bennetti; adored grandfather of Ray Addas, Melissa Padgett, Anthony Addas, Artie Miick, Taylor Collins-Cruz, Bobby Bennetti III, Cory Bennetti, Nicole Curran; a treasured great grandfather of Mason Padgett, Meadow Padgett, Mickie Padgett, and Quinn and Layla Collins-Cruz. 

Visitation is Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City, NJ  (For GPS, please use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306). Funeral is Friday, July 28, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.  Funeral mass is at 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas' Church, 122 Ferry Street, Jersey City.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/).
