Ronald S Gain

It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald S. Gain, announces his passing at the age of 50 years.

Ron, nicknamed Toti, was born in Bayan Luma, Imus, Cavite, Philippines on May 28th, 1973. He immigrated to the United States when he was 10 years old and proudly calls Jersey City, NJ home.

Ron was a graduate of St. Nicholas School, Class of 1987, St. Peter's Prep, Class of 1991, and Kean University with a Bachelor's in Biology, Class of 1995.       Ron's interest as a child was to play outdoors like leap frog, climb trees, build tree houses, go biking, and most of all to catch tadpoles after a rainstorm. As a 10 year old, Ron enjoyed playing Nintendo, and was super competitive with playing bingo, black jack, and pekwa, card games as taught to him by his maternal grandmother,  Francis.

Most of all, Ron enjoyed spending time with the family and grilling steaks and making prime rib during family get-togethers. He especially doted and had quality time spent with his sons, Robert and Roger, and nephews, Jordan, Brian, Nicky, Michael and Alex.

Ron will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Carmelita,  his wife Marlene, his sons, Robert and Roger, his sister, Cheryl, his younger brother,  Dominic & sister-in-law Kristine, his parents-in-law, Nick and Alida, his sisters-in law, Isabel and Alida & their spouses, and his nephews, Jordan,  Brian, Nicky, Michael and Alex, and all his beloved family and friends.

Ron is predeceased by his father, Rogelio,  Roger.

A wake in memory of Ron will be held on Sunday, May 26th, 2024, from 2pm to 6pm at Riotto Funeral Home, 3205 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Jersey City,  NJ, 07306. Light refreshments, coffee, and pastries will be served at the wake. Ample parking is across the street from the funeral home, as well as behind the funeral home. A funeral mass service will be held on Monday, May 27th, 2024, 11am at St. Nicholas  Church,  122 Ferry Street,  Jersey City, NJ 07307. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made in Ronald's memory to his sons, Robert and Roger's future education.
