It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Natalie Procel, who left this world on December 26, 2024, at the age of 37. Born on February 8, 1987 in New York, NY, Sandra was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend whose warmth and dedication touched the lives of so many.
Sandra served as the Assistant Registrar at St. Peter’s University, where her commitment to excellence and her genuine care for others were evident every day. Her work was a testament to her diligence and passion for education, and she made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the students she served.
Sandra was a vibrant soul who embraced life with enthusiasm and love. She cherished spending time with her family, whether it was playing games, singing karaoke at home, or enjoying a nice frozen margarita. She loved going to the gym with her mom and her brother, where they encouraged and supported each other. Sandra’s artistic spirit shone through her drawings and paintings, and she found immense joy in going to concerts, especially to see her favorite band, MUSE. Her passion for rock and roll music was matched only by her love for creating unforgettable moments with those she held dear.
Sandra and her brother, Brian, shared a special bond that was deeply rooted in their shared love for collecting Pokémon cards and watching horror movies together. They would often finish each other’s sentences in Spanish, humorously acknowledging that their Spanish on its own wasn’t perfect, but together they formed one complete person. Their sibling connection was filled with laughter, shared adventures, and a mutual appreciation for each other’s company.
Sandra is survived by her loving parents, Raul and Elsa Procel, and her cherished brother, Brian Procel. She is predeceased by her grandfather, Rafael Tumalle, and her grandmother, Fanny Yolanda Procel de Morán, whose memories she always held close to her heart. Her family and friends will always remember her kind heart, her sharp sense of humor, and the way she brought light into every room she entered.
Sandra’s legacy is one of love, creativity, and joy. She will forever remain in our hearts, her laughter and spirit continuing to inspire all who knew her.
