Sara Maria Amador Moncada

Sara Maria “Sarita” Amador Moncada, 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2020.   She was a seamstress working in Honduras, where she was born.  Sara then moved to the United States in 1993.  During her life, she enjoyed cooking, watching television, dancing, planting and gardening.  Her favorite flowers were roses.  Her family will remember her as always trying to make friends with everyone she met.  Anyone who knew her, she enjoyed having conversations with people and just being a truly kindhearted and honest person.  

Sara is survived by her caring children, Maribeth Nunez, Dalila Garcia, Ramon A. Nunez, Dagoberto Nunez, and Jorge Casco; by her cherished grandchildren, Jessica, Paule, Janeysia, Jonathon, Jaylynne, and Michael; by her devoted brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews; by her dearest friends, Jacobo and Lizzette, and by her pet companion, Franklin. 

Due to CDC guidelines, Sara will be waked for immediate family only at Riotto Funeral Home in Jersey City on Friday, June 5, 2020. Private cremation will follow.
