Sharon "Sha" Spino (née Everett), aged 73, passed away on June 24, 2024, in Jersey City, NJ, where she was also born on December 27, 1950. A feisty, caring, and humorous individual, Sharon was known for her open heart and the warmth of her home, which she opened to all. Renowned for her holiday gatherings, she delighted guests with her homemade manicotti and famously secretive cheesecake recipe.
Sharon's creativity shone through in her perfectly trimmed Christmas tree and the cherished porcelain village displayed beneath it. She had a spirited presence, especially noted during her time tending bar at Mike's Place, Virginia Tavern, Knots and The Bayside Tavern, all located in Jersey City. Her career also included serving as a school traffic guard, where she ensured the safety of countless children.
Beyond her professional life, Sharon was an avid cook, artist, and decorator, who enjoyed dining out, attending concerts, and spending cherished moments with her family and pets. She was a loving and protective mother, fondly referred to as "Mamma Bear," and her door was always open to those in need, including the many cats and dogs she cared for over the years.
Sharon is survived by her son, Joseph Spino; daughter, Nicole Spino; brother, Robert Everett; nephew, Mark Everett; niece, Mira Everett; Brianna Everett, Mark Everett Jr., Christina Everett Rumsey, Ashley Everett, Katelyn Everett, Courtney Everett Bush, Michele Spino Ferioli and Michael Spino and surviving nieces, nephews and cousins.
