Teresa Russo, 74, of Wayne, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025. Born on November 10, 1950, in Airola, Benevento, Italy, Teresa was raised in a close-knit family rooted in tradition and love. She immigrated to the United States in the 1980s and settled in Paterson, New Jersey, where she spent the majority of her life.
A devoted mother, Teresa's greatest pride and joy was her son, Carmine Russo, whom she supported with unwavering love and care. Her nurturing spirit and strength were the foundation of her family.
Teresa was a skilled and passionate seamstress who took great pride in her craft. Her ability to create and transform garments was matched only by her dedication to those she loved. She found joy not only in her work but also in her personal passions—gardening, traveling, and sharing stories of her adventures with those closest to her.
She is survived by her beloved son, Carmine Russo; her brother, Clemente Carobene; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Teresa was predeceased by her husband, Giuseppe Russo; her parents, Ciro and Michela Carobene; her sister, Francesca Carobene; and her brother, Giuseppe Carobene.
Teresa will be remembered for her warmth, her compassion, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her legacy of love, creativity, and quiet strength will live on in all who knew and loved her.
Services are private. A funeral mass will be announced on a later date.
