Thomas Richard Cullinane, age 73, of Jersey City, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, while in hospice care at Morristown Post Acute Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
A proud lifelong resident of Jersey City, Tommy was born on December 17, 1951, to Thomas and Regina Cullinane. He attended William L. Dickinson High School and graduated with the Class of 1970. He went on to serve his community through his work with the Parks Department of both Jersey City and Hudson County, where he held the position of Park Attendant until his retirement.
Tommy was a devoted member of the Jersey City Elks Lodge #211 and the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Hudson County. He was an avid fan of the New York Mets and Jets and treasured time spent with lifelong friends at Pershing Field Park or on the benches along Central Avenue. He also found joy in playing scratch-off lottery tickets—a simple pleasure he never outgrew.
Tommy is survived by his loving sisters, Patricia Wagner (Kenneth) and Susan Egbert; nieces, Michele Moylan, Kerri Negron (Giovany), and Denise Machuca; grandnephews, David Machuca and Joshua Arroyo; and grandnieces, Angelina Machuca, Isabella Negron, and Elise Negron.
He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Regina; sisters, Jean A. White and Carol A. Moylan; nephews, Kenneth and David White; and nieces, Lisa Moylan and Alexis Wagner.
Tommy will be lovingly remembered for his generosity, quiet strength, and the deep love he held for his family, friends, and the simple joys of everyday life.
