Tito Cruz, Jr., 55, formerly of New York City, NY; of Jersey City, NJ; entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 15, 2022. There is no greater pain than losing a loved one, but the pain is only emphasized when it happens at the beginning of the New Year. Tito was a proud husband and father who prioritized his family over all else, always going the extra mile to make sure his family had what they needed no matter what. He was a multi-faceted man; a computer technician, an Air Force veteran, and a guru of sound advice (despite being a self-proclaimed “fountain of useless information”). He was a diehard Mets fan and an avid comic book reader, especially superhero comics. His favorite superhero was the Fantastic Four’s “The Thing” because underneath his tough exterior, Tito was the most loving, gold-hearted man you’ll ever meet. He was the steadfast bedrock of the family, and to many of us, was a real life superhero.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Isabel Cruz; son, Cristian Cruz; sisters, Elsa Hernandez and Amy Santiago; nieces and nephews, Jocelyn and Jesus Romero, Eric Ramos, Jessica Randalf, Carlos and Jessica Hernandez, Christopher and Ashley Hernandez, Tito Cruz, Anisa and Brian Prins, Alexandra Brioni, Hannah Santiago; and more great nieces and nephews.
