Vera Fagley, 97, of Jersey City, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Vera was a great entertainer alongside her late husband, Frank. She was a talented harmonica musician and also played the keyboard, performing at many parties, nursing homes, veterans' events, hospitals, senior citizen centers, and church groups. Vera and Frank were always admired for their "oneness" and the beautiful things they did together through their love of music. They brought happiness, comfort, and joy to those less fortunate, particularly the sick and lonely in hospitals.
Always well-dressed, they were a perfect couple, and their pleasure was in cheering others. It is unlikely that people will forget the happy times they created. Vera was a past member of the Hammond Organ Society and served as the head keyboard player for the Garden State Harmonica Ensemble. She also worked for Seagram Inc. for 8 years. Vera was a longtime member of the Friends of Muhlenberg and the Paterson Street Seniors.
Vera was the beloved wife of the late Frank Fagley; devoted mother of Frank, Gerard, and the late Robert Fagley. She is also survived by many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Anne's Church, 3545 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City. Interment will take place at Crest Haven Memorial Park, 750 Passaic Ave., Clifton, NJ.
