Yolanda Ferdinandi

Yolanda Ferdinandi, 94, of the Marion Section of Jersey City, NJ, entered eternal rest on June 29, 2025.

Born in Pignataro Interamna, Italy, Yolanda immigrated to the United States in pursuit of adventure and opportunity. She brought with her a strong sense of independence, resilience, and the traditions of her Italian heritage.

Yolanda enjoyed a long and successful career in New York’s fashion industry as a pattern and design specialist. Her keen eye for detail, dedication to craftsmanship, and distinctive style earned her the admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she was cherished for her sharp wit and unshakable strength.

Yolanda is survived by her devoted and loving sister, Rosa Di Giorgio (nee Ferdinandi) and brother-in-law, Salvatore Di Giorgio, her sister-in-law, Rita Ferdinandi (nee Meta), their children, and cherished extended family members. She is predeceased by her husband, Angelantonio Gravina, and her brother, Silvestro Ferdinandi. Though Yolanda had no children of her own, she was a proud and nurturing aunt to two generations of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.  Her family, neighbors, and friends will remember her for her generosity, enduring sense of dignity, and unwavering love for her family near and far.

Visitation is on Monday, July 7, 2025, 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306 (For GPS Navigation it is best to use the parking lot entrance address: 14 Stagg St., Jersey City).  Religious Service will begin in the funeral home at 10:30 AM.  Entombment will follow at Holy Name Mausoleum, Jersey City.

Yolanda Ferdinandi, 94 anni, del quartiere Marion di Jersey City, NJ, è entrata nel riposo eterno il 29 giugno 2025.

Nata a Pignataro Interamna, in Italia, Yolanda emigrò negli Stati Uniti alla ricerca di avventura e opportunità. Portò con sé un forte senso di indipendenza, resilienza e le tradizioni della sua eredità italiana.

Yolanda ha avuto una lunga e brillante carriera nell’industria della moda di New York come specialista in modelli e design. Il suo occhio attento ai dettagli, la dedizione all'artigianato e lo stile distintivo le valsero l’ammirazione di colleghi e clienti. Oltre ai suoi successi professionali, era amata per il suo spirito arguto e la sua forza incrollabile.

Yolanda lascia la sua amata e devota sorella, Rosa Di Giorgio (nata Ferdinandi), il cognato Salvatore Di Giorgio, la cognata Rita Ferdinandi (nata Meta), i loro figli e numerosi parenti affettuosi. È preceduta nella morte dal marito, Angelantonio Gravina, e dal fratello, Silvestro Ferdinandi. Sebbene Yolanda non abbia avuto figli propri, è stata una zia orgogliosa e premurosa per due generazioni di nipoti, tutti profondamente amati. La sua famiglia, i vicini e gli amici la ricorderanno per la sua generosità, il suo incrollabile senso di dignità e il suo amore incondizionato per la famiglia, vicina e lontana.

La veglia funebre si terrà lunedì 7 luglio 2025, dalle 9:00 alle 10:30 presso Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306 (per il navigatore GPS si consiglia di utilizzare l’indirizzo dell’ingresso del parcheggio: 14 Stagg St., Jersey City). Il servizio religioso inizierà nella casa funebre alle 10:30. A seguire, la tumulazione avrà luogo presso il Holy Name Mausoleum, Jersey City.
