Yong Fowsar

Yong Fowsar, a beloved matriarch and vibrant spirit, passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 72. Born in Seoul, Korea, on March 25, 1952, Yong found her home in the United States, where she embraced the opportunities life had to offer. As a self-employed business owner, she poured her heart into her work, nourishing both her community and her family.

Yong is survived by her devoted sons, Jaipaul (Jya) and Kris Fowsar, who carry forward her legacy of resilience and love. Her spirit lives on in her grandchildren: Samia, Aria, Maia, and Lia Fowsar, who brought immense joy into her life. Each cherished moment shared with them was a testament to her unwavering devotion to family. She is also survived by her loving brother Young Hee Park and her dear sisters Sang Bum Park and Young Jae Park, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Her journey, marked by determination and grace, leaves an indelible mark on all who knew her. In the hearts of her loved ones, Yong Fowsar will forever be remembered as a guiding light, whose love and warmth shaped their lives in countless ways.

Yong was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ramesh Fowsar; her parents, Kyung Park and Jang Hyo-Sun; and her dear brother Sang Rok Park and sister Young Bok Park.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 28th, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home, Jersey City (For GPS, please use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306). Interment will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, 10:15 AM at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
