Benito Petrone

Benito Petrone, 80, of Jersey City passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 16, 2016.  Benito was born in Satriano di Lucania, Potenza, Italy and immigrated to Uruguay where he met his wife Mercedes.  They moved Jersey City in 1969 and raised 3 sons.  

Benito studied and worked in the field of medicine and was employed by the Jersey City Medical Center.  He enjoyed gardening, traveling and had the fortune of holding his granddaughter, Mercedes Rose.

Benito is the beloved husband of 47 years to Mercedes (Moreira); Devoted father of Anthony, Marcello and Marby Perone; Dear father-in-law of Debra and proud grandfather of Mercedes Rose.  Benito is survived by his loving brother Rocco and his niece Maddalena Petrone.

Visitation is from RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306 on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, 4:00pm to 8:00pm.  A Religious Service will begin at 6:00pm.  Cremation will be private at the request of the family.
