Thomas F. Brazicki

Tom Brazicki, 66, a life long resident of Jersey City, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 19, 2016.  Proprietor of Brazicki's Tavern in the Jersey City Heights for the last 25 years, Tom greeted all who visited the neighborhood tavern with a friendly smile and great sense of humor. 

"Frank R. Brazicki Way" at 153 Liberty Ave. was dedicated last year to Tom's father who founded the tavern in 1945 and passed away in 2013. Tom lived his life as his father told him, "Treat people like you yourself would like to be treated."  Tom lived a full life raising 4 children who continue the legacy of running the tavern and was given the gift of holding his first grandchild Maxine.

Tom loved motivating neighborhood children to play sports and was president for 15 years of the Pershing Field Little League.  For 25 years he supported Cub Scout Pack 470 and was president of the North American Dart Association for 20 years. 

Tom was predeceased by his loving parents Frank and Phyllis Brazicki. 

Tom was the beloved husband of Julia (nee Feltz);  Devoted father of Frank & Michele, Glenn & Kelly, Karen & Carlos and Lauren; Cherished grandfather of Maxine; Dear brother of Robert & Jaye, Richie & Gail; Loving brother-in-law of John & Judy, Gina & Joe and Maddalena.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd. (corner of Stagg St.), Jersey City, NJ 07306 on Wednesday and Thursday 4:00pm to 9:00pm.  Funeral will begin on Friday, June 24, 2016, 10:00am at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will follow 11:00am at St. Nicholas Church, Jersey City.  Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to benefit Juvenile Diabetes and Wounded Warriors.
